Old couples are mostly accompanied and dependent on each other in the second half of their lives. However, when the other half suffers from disease, many families have neglected the loneliness and helpless emotions of the caregiving partner. Director Yoko devoted her movie "Alone" to bring awareness to this phenomenon and urge the public to extend more care to families with dementia patients and the caregiving parents. She hopes to promote the value of a supportive family which will encourage the younger generation to provide more care towards their family.
