Set in the 90's, the plot revolves around Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's unwavering stance in refusing various forms of bribes and cash from certain parties, as well as his reluctance to use public funds to bail out companies owned by certain leaders' children that have lost billions of ringgit. As a result, he was falsely accused of a massive conspiracy, fired, brutally beaten in prison, and left without medical treatment for several days. From being the best Finance Minister who successfully freed Malaysia from the shackles of debt, he eventually ended up in jail.
